About
Sharon Picard, PhD
I am a Clinical Psychologist who provides focused support and therapy to help my clients move forward and reach emotional health and balance. My therapy with adults consists of multiple factors that can improve emotional health which include (1) exploration of root causes of behavior or faulty thinking, (2) learning how to practice mindfulness and calming strategies effectively, and (3) reframing client's perceptions of events, difficulties, and relationships. My therapy with children and parent-child dyads utilizes play therapy techniques, mindfulness techniques, and problem-solving strategies. Children communicate through play and so I use play therapy activities to help children communicate about their emotions and stressors.

Having been licensed for twenty-five years, I have worked extensively with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and grief.
